Restaurant High Chair

A few weeks ago, we decided AK was big enough to sit in a high chair at restaurants.  Her first time was at J. Christopher's and as you can see, she did great!  It was also her first time trying avocado which was a HUGE mess.

Masters Weekend

Even though she isn't old enough to go to Augusta National to see the Masters and we won't let her watch it on TV, she still has on her masters outfit in honor of the final round today.

First Easter Outfit

Here is the first of several first Easter outfits for AK. I love the bunny feet.

Still Love My Swing...

Despite sleeping in her swing for the first several months of her life, she doesn't get much time in it these days because we want her to sleep in her crib. Occasionally, we put her in it during the day when Molly or I HAVE to get get something done for a few minutes or she is really tired and is having trouble falling asleep in her crib. I put her in there this morning while I took a shower since she seemed exhausted from the weekend, and this is what I came out to find.

By contrast, this was Anna Kate in her swing at 2 months. She's grown so much!!!

Supervising Home Improvements

Uncle Stuart and Aunt Kathleen bought their first house on Friday (congrats!), and we spent much of the weekend helping them get ready to move in. Anna Kate wasn't so much "hands on helpful" but she did supervise Mommy pulling up weeds, me mowing the lawn, Kathleen painting, and Stuart assembling a new grill (on which he cooked us dinner!). Here is the little princess showing off her supervisory skills.

Food!

AK's first attempt at solid food went pretty well. She was able to get everything we gave her from her tray into her mouth! I'm not sure she swallowed anything, but this stage is just about exploring and learning so I'd call it a success. We started with steamed green beans, steamed carrots and roasted sweet potatoes. A day or two later, we gave her a banana. I don't think she has any preferences yet and seems to gravitate towards whatever is closest (even if that is her bib or the placemat!)

These photo shoots have gotten significantly easier now that AK can sit up by herself for a long time.  This set was from the day she had the ear infection though, so she isn't quite as smiley as she usually is.
