5 Month Photo Shoot: Part 2

It was much colder for round two of her 5 month photo shoot so we had to bundle her up. We're definitely biased, but she is seriously cute!

5 Month Photo Shoot: Part 1

Anna Kate turned 5 months on Friday. She's doing great and is now over 15 pounds - more than double her birth weight. She got a little fussy during her first photo shoot in the backyard so we put it on hold and started up again this afternoon.

Press Coverage

Anna Kate has generated quite a lot of press over the last few weeks.  It all started when her birth announcement was published in our local paper, the Dunwoody Crier:

She can also be seen in the February 2012 editions of the GA Tech & Wash U alumni magazines:

And finally, she was included in a picture accompanying an article about Great Grandmother's 100th Birthday in the Columbia Star:

Bouncy Horse

The bouncy horse we inherited from cousin Henry has been sitting in the green room for months and we decided today was the perfect day to give it a go.  Anna Kate LOVED it!  Thankfully, the accompanying music can be turned off :-)

Assorted Cute Pics - February

Here is a sample of other random cuteness from this month.

Anna Kate meeting another Uncle Matt (Ben's childhood best friend) for the first time the day we got back from our trip.

Check out Anna Kate's accessories for our walks now that the weather in Atlanta feels a little more like spring.

She still fits in her pink Chucks, but not by much!

She loves watching us from her Bumbo seat.

Here is Anna Kate making a card for one of her friends (Oliver, the 6 month old son of one of Ben's co-workers) who was in the hospital this week with a lung infection. He is doing much better.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Anna Kate wishes all of her fans a belated Happy Valentine's Day!

Ireland Part II (Finally)

Nearly 2 weeks after we returned to the US, we finally had a chance to go through the last few days of pictures from our Ireland trip. Here are some highlights.

After Dromoland Castle, we drove three hours or so down to the Dingle Peninsula. It was a really pretty drive, but Anna Kate and Molly slept through it. Our first stop was in Dingle town which was really cute. There were narrow streets of colorful shops and restaurants...

...as well as the home of the best ice cream in Ireland at Murphy's (it was REALLY good!).

Next, we did the world-famous Dingle Peninsula drive. It was gorgeous and it took us an hour and a half instead of the typical four hours since there was no other traffic. It was clearly the offseason! Since Anna Kate was asleep after we finished the first loop, we actually did the whole thing again.

The next day (Friday) we had to drive 4-5 hours across the country back to Dublin for our early morning departure to the US. We did make two stops though to break up the trip. The first was Anna Kate's first trip to the beach in the town of Inch. It was cold outside so she was bundled up, but she did seem to like it.

Our last stop was the Rock of Cashel, a church / fortress which dates back to the 12th century. It was pretty impressive although much of it was covered up with scaffolding due to rennovations occuring in the "off season."
