9 Month Photoshoot

Anna Kate is 9 months old today and we did our monthly photoshoot first thing this morning (I'm sure our neighbors loved us making funny noises and ringing bells at 8am on a Sunday!). Here are some of our favorites of our little lady.

I finally got a video of AK actually crawling (although her new trick is pulling up on... anything - video coming soon):

Here is another video that Ben took of AK entertaining herself in her pack 'n play.  She is great at playing by herself and can be perfectly happy for quite a while with a few toys.

Father's Day

I had a wonderful first Father's Day today. We slept in (real treat with AK!) and then Molly fixed homemade cinnamon rolls before we went on a long walk (trying to get Anna Kate to nap but she only slept the last 5 minutes of an hour and a half walk). We met Mimi and Pop Pop for a nice brunch before doing a little shopping this afternoon. Of course we ended the day with my favorite time with my little girl - bath time and bedtime stories.

Trip to the Zoo

My company had family night at the zoo this weekend so Anna Kate got her first glimpse of tigers, pandas, giraffes, and more.

Scleroderma Walk

Last Saturday, we partipated in the 7th Annual South Carolina Scleroderma Walk at Furman University which raises much-needed money for research into a cure for scleroderma. We walked (and Anna Kate strolled / slept through) the beautiful 1.25 mile path in loving memory of Molly's aunt Amy.

Major Blog Announcement!

For all of our fans who may not know, we are moving to New Jersey! Ben got a huge promotion but the new job requires him to be near his company's headquarters in Roseland, NJ. We are currently looking for a house up there and trying to sell our house down here (it's not clean enough to go on the market yet, but when we get our act together we'll list it.)  We have to move by the end of September, so wish us luck :-)

We took a quick house hunting trip to NJ this weekend (AK's third plane trip) and while we didn't find any houses we loved, we did drive through a few towns we liked and got to visit with Matt and Rena.

Crawling

Anna Kate has been really crawling for the last week or so, but I've yet to get a good video of her.  She's so fast that you have to watch her all the time, so it's hard to try to get a video when she's headed towards the paper cutter (her favorite!) or the stairs!  Of course, when I get my phone out and have it set up to take a video she won't crawl.  Sigh.  Here are some videos of her not crawling... enjoy!

Anna Kate's First Trip to Lakemont

We had a great time at Lakemont for the long Memorial Day weekend.  In addition to Neni & Pops, Katie & Henry and Robin & Jeff were there so AK got plenty of attention :-)
