Go Jackets!

Today was our only opportunity to see the Yellow Jackets play before we move to New Jersey, so we made a day of it and tailgated with Uncle Stuart and Aunt Kathleen before the game and lasted all the way until half-time in the stadium before someone started showing signs of an impending meltdown leading to a hasty exit.

Anna Kate apparently LOVES corn hole.  Who knew!?  She spent the entire tailgate playing on (literally on) Uncle Stuart's fancy corn hole boards and had a great time putting the beanbags in the hole and getting them out again.

We've been working on AK's TOUCHDOWN trick for weeks (months?) now and we thought she had it down pat, but GT scored five touchdowns in the first half and she would NOT do it.  I guess there was too much going.  Unfortunately, she did seem to really like the marching band and would start dancing whenever they played.

This was her reaction when UVA scored.

Last Week

Here are some pictures from the last few days.

AK's first time walking in real shoes.  She doesn't quite know what to make of them.

She was so excited to be walking outside she forgot all about her shoes.

She LOVES to watch the lawn people cut the grass on the riding mower.

She won't leave the window until they are done!

A lot of the time, she claps when they get close.

This is one of AK's favorite books - she is pretty good at flipping through and finding specific pictures when you ask her to.

Good thing she likes playing with packing paper - we have a lot of that in our future!

One of her new favorite activities is dancing when any music comes on!

Stone Mountain

Bright and early on Sunday morning we decided to enjoy the fall-like weather by hiking up Stone Mountain.  It was AK's first time to the park, and she had a great time charming all of our fellow hikers on the way up and sleeping on the way down.

Kitchen

AK loves the new kitchen Mimi & PopPop got for her! Although it came with tons of dishes, food & utensils her favorite things are the two telephones - she talks on them all the time.

Discovery Bottles

Ben and I recently channeled our inner-crafters and made AK some discovery bottles (thanks Pinterest!)  We made six bottles: water and baby oil with food coloring, water and dish soap with food coloring and shiny pieces of plastic, water and metal washers, rice and plastic letters, water and glitter, and one with just dried beans.  AK loves them and has a great time shaking the different bottles to see what happens in each one.

Mall Photoshoot

We had one last Groupon for Picture People at the mall near our house that we decided to use this morning.  Here are a few of the good shots:
