Happy Fourth of July! We had a very busy day.
First, we went to the Pickens Flea Market/Jockey Lot. There are really no words to describe it, but it is kind of like an enormous garage sale with a lot of ... extras. You have to see it to understand. We walked around for almost two hours and we only covered about half of it. We left when it got too hot, but we did pick up a few treasures :-)
After that we high-tailed it to Easley to have a cookout with (Great) Uncle Jacky, Frances, George and (Great) Aunt Cynthia. AK had her first veggie burger and fell in love with Jacky & Frances' huge dog Bear.
We spent the afternoon in the lake playing with cousins John, Joseph & baby Thomas. AK LOVES Thomas and even gave him a kiss!
AK's new trick is giving kisses. This is the face she makes to do it:
We finished off the day by participating in the Lakemont Fourth of July Parade! It was AK's first parade as a participant but it was way past her bedtime (it started at 7:30pm), so she just barely made it to the end without falling asleep.
