Assorted Cute Pics

Here are a few of our favorite ones from our second day at home.
Snuggling with mommy!

Tummy time on a quilt made by Neni!

Anna's first time on our activity mat. Notice her onesie - 100% adorable!

This swaddling sack was a gift from one of Ben's coworkers and is a big hit already.

Anna Kate wearing an adorable frog towel following her first sponge bath!

Help from Neni and Pops

We've really appreciated the help from Molly's parents - Neni (Jeannie) and Pops (James) - who are staying with us. They've helped us get a little more sleep, eat meals together, and not lose our minds!

Coming Home!

Checkups on mom and baby went great this morning, and we were cleared to take Anna Kate home! We put her in a super cute outfit from Mimi and Pop Pop which was newborn sized but still seemed very big on her. She wasn't happy about the outfit change (her first time in clothing other than hospital issued garb), but she did great on the ride home and slept the entire way - all 3 miles or so.

More New People!

Several people came to visit Anna Kate at the hospital on Sunday. Here she is meeting Neni (Molly's mom Jeannie) and Uncle Stuart and Aunt Kathleen for the first time.

Baby Gets A Name!

Since she came a couple weeks early, we weren't quite settled on a name when we had her. After seeing her and spending some time with her, we finally settled on Anna Kate Lawder-Freeman when she was just about 24 hours old. Here are some cute pictures from Day 2.

Meeting Mimi and Pop Pop

Here she is meeting Ben's parents - Mimi (Mary) and Pop Pop (Keith) - shortly after we moved to the recovery room. They agree with us: she is adorable!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Our little baby girl arrived at 3:10pm today, September 24, 2011! She weighed 7 lbs 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. Here are our first pictures of her!

Maternity Photos

We finally got around to getting maternity pictures done. One of Ben's co-workers just had a baby and highly recommended the photographer. She did a great job and was very affordable! Here are some of our favorites.

Consignment Sale Bargains

Ben's dad's new church, Dunwoody UMC, has one of the biggest and best kids consignment sales around twice each year. We were able to get in and shop for 45 minutes before they opened the doors to the masses (literally hundreds of people waiting outside in 95 degree weather while we browsed). For around $200, we came away with well over $1,000 in high quality baby stuff including a Maclaren stroller, a pack 'n play, a swing, a bouncer, an exersaucer, two boppys, a bumbo seat, 23 new outfits, and lots of little toys and accessories. Our house has officially been taken over by Donna's stuff!

33 Week Ultrasound

This morning we had another growth scan ultrasound to make sure Donna is healthy and doing well. She is doing just fine and is actually tracking slightly larger than normal (just over 5 lbs already). Here are the two pictures we brought home (taken with the fancy 3D machine the doctor has in the office).

We'll see when we put her in it, but likely not (thanks Aunt Robin!)

Officially a girl!

When we went to the perinatologist's office for the first time (~18 weeks), they did a full anatomy scan to make sure everything was looking alright. All major organs looked fine, all fingers and toes were present, and they officially announced the baby was a girl!
